Plano, TX – October 10, 2018 – CRITICALSTART, a leading provider of cybersecurity solutions, today announced that it has been selected for the second consecutive year as one of the Dallas 100™ by the SMU Cox Caruth Institute for Entrepreneurship, in recognition of the company’s significant revenue growth. The Caruth Institute annually celebrates the ingenuity, commitment, and perseverance of the 100 fastest-growing privately held entrepreneurial businesses in the Dallas area. This year’s winners were honored at the 28th Annual SMU Cox Dallas 100™ Awards Ceremony and Banquet at the Omni Dallas Hotel.

“Being recognized once again on the Dallas 100™ list reflects a year of tremendous growth and achievement at CRITICALSTART, and I would like to thank our customers for their support and our employees for their commitment and effort,” said Rob Davis, CEO at CRITICALSTART. “The Dallas area combines a large pool of cybersecurity and technology talent and strong business climate to help fuel our growth, and we recently expanded our headquarters facility in Plano to accommodate our future growth.”

The company increased year-over-year (YoY) revenue by 87 percent in the first seven months of 2018, and its MDR business has grown 300 percent YTD in 2018 when compared to all of 2017.

CRITICALSTART, along with the other 99 Dallas 100™ companies, collectively generated $3.3 billion in sales in 2017, according to Jerry White, the Linda A. and Kenneth R. Morris Endowed Director of the Caruth Institute for Entrepreneurship at the SMU Cox School of Business. In aggregate, the companies grew at an average annual growth rate of 87 percent from 2015 to 2017. Together, they created 11,096 jobs in that same period. According to White, “These companies are amazing growth machines. They can create a fantastic number of jobs and pump hundreds of millions of dollars into our economy,” said White. “For 28 years, the Caruth Institute at SMU Cox has honored the critical role of entrepreneurship in the DFW economy, which has thrived specifically because of its long history of entrepreneurial spirit.”
